leads to scenes like these (the kids were watching Dancing with the Stars).
In our house the boys obviously don't lead.

In our house
you never know what you'll hear. Enjoy the sample of this evening...
The setting - Kaleb is in the kitchen unloading the dishwasher. Scott and Jennifer are in the front room sitting on the floor. Scott offers his pointer finger to Jennifer, but she refuses to pull it, so he pulls his own finger.
Kaleb - "Who tooted?"
Scott - "Me."
Kaleb - "What do you say?"
Scott - "It stinks."
Scott and Jennifer laughing
Kaleb - "Nooo"
Scott - "Excuse me."

One foot after the other
We made a family affair out of it. I ran along side her (she did sign me up too) and pushed Mia and Brody in the stroller. Emmi and Kaleb rode their bikes with us. It was good family fun. I ended up with a Bronze medal for my category.

The day has finally arrived...
yesterday was the big day...three years in the making! Jennifer and the kids, along with a few good friends, all came to the ceremony where I received my wings. It was a great and memorable occasion with a very memorable day to start.
Emmi woke up in the morning sick...running a fever, joint aches and nausea. Here she is getting her hair done (notice the puke bucket nearby).

The family came up to pin my wings on. The girls each got three red roses (Jennifer received her bouquet earlier).

What you don't see is how close Jennifer came to strangling them because they wouldn't listen. Our friends were shocked because they had never seen the defiant and disobedient side. Granted, they were all tired (stupid time change) and two were sick.
These are the wings Jennifer pinned on me---they have a story behind them and I just want to let Jarrett know it really meant a lot. Wish you could have been here for it, thanks.

Brody and Kaleb are wearing my issued wings and my uniform hat. They decided Kaleb will drive the ship and Brody will land the plane on it.

Princess Mia is 4!
Well Mia who thinks she is a princess turned 4 today. I was a little sad and asked if she just wanted to stay 3. She said no that she would stop when she turned 5 because she wants to go to school like her brothers and sister.
She woke up to a decorated kitchen, a present and french toast for breakfast. She opened the present on the table and what could it be but a crown that she wore all day. Scott and I took her to lunch at the "Cow place" as Mia calls it. (It is just a buffet place that has a huge fake cow outside) Yesterday I worked on her princess cake and she loved it! I think it turned out pretty cool.
I painted her finger and toe nails, and she was worn out when it was time to pick the kids up from school and fell asleep until the kids woke her up for dinner at 5:00. At 5:30 we had some friends come over for cake and ice cream and to open her presents. After everyone left I think she was a little sad because she is going to have to wait another year until her next birthday. She was very excited with all the presents she got and since she had a nap who knows when she will go to sleep!

Getting ready to blow out the candles and eat some cake!

This is the present that the kids got for Mia.

Her last present. I think she was just ready to start playing with her gifts. She didn't really want to have any more pictures taken.

The new bike
Anyways, after visiting a bike shop we were able to pick up new V-brakes, cable, lever and tube. With a little work we were able to get his bike running and sized today. I really hope he likes it.
As for Brody, he got new bearings in his steering tube on his old bike. Looks like he'll have this one for a while. I just hope it is easier to ride now, especially since I raised his seat too.
