My Little Boy is 12!
Kaleb had his 12th birthday yesterday. To celebrate he asked me to make him a "crazy cake" It is my favorite cake. It is a homemade chocolate cake with a cream cheese mixture, a pudding layer and topped with whipped cream. It's not the prettiest thing, but it sure taste awesome! It is going to be the death of me. I am trying so hard to not eat so many sweets. I even threw away Ben n Jerry's ice cream. The bad thing with this recipe is that it makes 2 cakes. With Brody still running a fever, none of our friends wanted to come hang out, not even for crazy cake. Anyways back to the birthday boy.

He wanted to go up to Canada to the aquarium up there. I wasn't sure I wanted to go because of Brody still running a fever, but Brody didn't want Kaleb not to be able to go because of him. So off we went. (Sorry people at the aquarium if we got any of you sick) What we saw was pretty cool. It started to rain about 45 minutes after we arrived, and after an hour and a half Brody was done. So I promised them we would go back when everyone is feeling better.
Next time when I go across the boarder, I have to have a signed note with a contact number for Scott. Who knew that us going into Canada without Scott would be such a pain. I informed the agent on duty, that we were just going up for the day, and that Scott was in the military, and currently deployed.. He looked in the car to make sure we didn't have any luggage, and said "Well I believe you, so I will let you in, but next time you need a signed letter." Like I would ever run off to another country with all the kids and not come back. If anything I would leave the kids with Scott, and flee the country by myself! Just Kidding.... well today anyways :-)
So I thought this was a funny picture. Only in the Northwest do you see people wearing socks and sandals, my kids now do this. Oh I can't wait to get to some warm weather again! .

What a Great Start to Summer
When Kaleb returned from his back packing trip Saturday, he came home running a fever of 102 and coughing. Poor kid told his scout leaders that he wasn't feeling very well Thursday, and when Brody came home on Friday they asked him if he wanted to come home, but he said that he could make it until Saturday. What a trooper, running a fever, camping in the pouring rain hiking 10 miles with his pack and everything getting soaking wet, he said he would still go again. This is not my child, he is all Scott's kid.
Friday night is usually my date night, but Emmi was babysitting and it was her turn to go out with me. We postponed it until Saturday night. When Kaleb came home so sick, I wasn't sure I wanted to leave him to go out, but the look on Emmi's face when I suggested it said I needed to take her. She said is was fine, but she almost starting crying. Who new that not being able to go on a date with me would be something to get upset about.
After drugging Kaleb up and telling Brody and Mia that I had my phone with me and I would stay close to home if they needed anything, Emmi and I went off to a fine dinner at Arbys. It was interesting going there, it was my second job growing up and it brought back a lot of memories that I shared with Emmi. She had no idea that I had ever worked there. It has been 17 years since I had worked there. It made me feel really old, and made me think about how fast those years have gone. I digress. After dinner we decided to go to the playhouse and see the play "The Man From La Mancha." It was surprisingly very entertaining. Emmi and I sure laughed a bunch and if you bring up the Gypsy scene, Emmi will get grossed out and start busting up laughing. You should ask her about it. It is quite humorous. It was so fun to be able to go with her, and I was so happy that we went. We came home Kaleb was passed out on the couch, Brody and Mia were fine, and the house was still up. Who could ask for anything more.

Sunday Morning Kaleb was still running a fever, and Brody woke up with a 103 fever. The girls and I went to Sacrament, then came home to take care of the sick boys. What better thing to do to pass the time on a Sunday afternoon than to play a game of Twister. It was so funny to watch the kids play. Afterwards, the boys were in need of more meds, and passed out.

Tuesday Morning comes and the boys are still running 101-103 fevers. I made them doctor appointment for that afternoon, and guess what the doctor said. It's just a virus, and they look like they are doing just fine. Well they were high on Motrin, so when we were there, they were bouncing off the walls, not acting sick at all and no fever. (arrg) The doctor did say that if they were still running fevers on Friday to bring them back in.

I made them shave their Mohawks off before we went to the doctor.
Today I had to take our car to Burlington to get some work done on it. (Scott and I decided to sell it if anyone is interested) I told the kids last night that if they wanted to go, they need to be up and ready by 8:45 am. Starting at 6:30 and every 15 minutes after that a different one would come in a wake me up to ask me something. I think they were excited to go. I was so tired, and I really don't like mornings. Finally at 7:30 I got up to get ready because I was getting grumpier by the minute. Let me just say, They Never want to go to Burlington with me! I think they were getting stir crazy sitting around the house for so many days.
We were up in Burlington all day, and about half way through the day I see Brody and his eyes are all glossed over and I feel his head and he is burning up. I thought we were done with the fevers after last night, but Brody informed me that when he had gotten up this morning he had already taken some Motrin because his fever was 102. If I would have know that, I probably wouldn't have taken him. So we stopped by Target to get some meds and drug him up. While we were there Kaleb decided that he wanted to look for a birthday present since it is tomorrow and he had his birthday money already. (I can't believe my baby boy is going to be 12!) He has been wanting a Nook tablet thing and has been saving all year. Well he was $10 short, and found a camera that he ended up getting. It is pretty cool, I might have to borrow it from him some. It is even water proof, so awesome! After getting Brody drugged up we headed over to an ice cream place (Coldstone) oh my goodness they are expensive. Emmi had a gift card, so we all got something. Brody and Kaleb still aren't feeling very well and ended up throwing more than half their ice cream cones away. I was so sad, because they cost so much, and also because they were not able to enjoy them. I sure hope they are feeling better tomorrow, because I was planning on taking them to Vancouver B.C. to the aquarium up there. We haven't been to Canada since we moved back up to the Northwest. I am crossing my fingers that they will be all better.

Crazy? Probably
North Western Washington has broken a record. It has been the coldest and wettest June ever. Yesterday the high was 57 degrees and was pouring rain almost all day. With that said, it has been really hard for the kids and I to get outside to do much. Since it is summer break, we have been watching way too many movies, and been reading way to many books. I know it is probably hard to think that you can read too much but let me give you an example. On Monday, Emmi read for about 12 hours of the day. This lead me to a new summer rule in the house. For every hour of reading, electronics or TV watching, we have to walk/run for 1 mile either outside or on the treadmill. The kids love this idea. This morning Brody read for 2 hours and then went and ran a 7:22 mile. We now have a competition going on to see if we can beat his time. I am far from being able to get to that, but it is great motivation to get up and get moving. They remind me that I have to get my miles in too.

He did have his hands off, but with looking at the camera he didn't want to fall off.
On Thursday both my boys went on a back packing trip. The young men's president offered to take my boys with him and his boys. The Scouts also went, since Kaleb will be 12 next week he was able to join in with the scout troop. Eric (the ym pres) wasn't able to stay for the whole 3 days and brought Brody back last night, and Kaleb is still up with the scouts. Brody had a blast! He is defiantly his fathers child. Brody hiked in 3.8 miles and back with most of his gear, I don't think he had to carry the tent. I was a little worried that his pack might be a bit to heavy, but Brody said it was fine. What awesome little hikers I have. I can't wait to see how Kaleb liked it.
Emmi has been babysitting quite a bit. At Young Women's a few weeks ago they had a babysitting course that gave them some fun games and things to do with the kids they watch. Well last night she had a babysitting job and asked if she could make cookies to take with her. She made oatmeal raisin cookies that turned out fantastic. I am a bit of a control freak, ( I know big surprise) but I had to take Mia to a play date and do some errands so I didn't have the chance to supervise (take over) her making the cookies. When I got home she had a batch out of the oven, and they turned out perfect. I know I have capable children, and I know that I really need to let go and let them do things for themselves. It is just so hard for me to give up that control. I sure hope that my kids don't have such control issues when they have kids. Here is for me letting go of some control!!
He is Mia all dressed up and ready to go on her play date. She had so much fun. This is the outfit she wanted to wear on the last day of school minus the wand and wings, she was happy that she was able to wear it to her friends house.

Never Boring here
So today was the last day of school for the kids. They only had a half day. I was excited that I would have 3 1/2 hours left to myself. Lets face it, I wanted to clean the house and get rid of those things that my kids would never miss. This is how my day started.
5 am wake up call.
Mia: "Mom I just puked in my bed and it's all over me and my pajamas. Can I take a shower in you bathroom".
Me: half asleep still. "Sure" (the kids shower is still not working at this point, but Mr. Handy Man came this morning and fixed it, Yay Handy man!)
I try to fall back to sleep, but she can't get the shower working right. I have to get up and get it going for her. For those who know me, I am not a very nice person when I am awakened early in the morning, especially if it is by a puking child. Scott is the one who always gets up and takes care of it. I was nice though, and decided it would be best for all of us if I just leave the pukey sheets until later. I didn't even get mad. I just get back to sleep when Mia gets out of the bathroom and leaves the door open and the light is shining right in my face. Arrrggg. I get up and shut the door, just fall asleep again when Emmi comes in and asks for me to curl her hair. She had asked me to curl it on the last day of school, and I told her sure. What was I thinking! I told her to give me 30 minutes. On the dot she is back in my room at 6:30. It takes me another 10 minutes to will myself out of bed.
I am up curling Emmi's hair when she says, Mom I think I'm going to puke. So with her hair almost done, she is on the floor hugging the toilet. As any good Mom would do, I get the camera and take a picture. That's what she gets for getting me out of bed. hehehe.
She doesn't end up puking, and stands up for me to finish her hair. I am about 3 curls away, when she says, "Mom I don't feel so good, I can't see, everything is going black" I told her don't pass out, I have the curling iron in her hair, desperately trying to get it out before she falls. She at this point is on the ground. I get the curling iron out, and she is all flushed and green, lying on the floor. You see, she has to go to school today, she was getting an award for not missing any days of school. I remind her of this, and after a few minutes she is up, and we finish her hair. (Mom of the year right here!)

Emmi ended up going to school, I think she was just dehydrated. After I finished her hair she came down and ate a banana and drank some water, and she was back to normal. My kids don't drink enough water. It is a new rule in the house that they have to drink 3 water bottles a day from now on.
Here is Mia on her last day of school. Don't let the picture fool you. I should have sent her to school, she was up eating and jumping around after 8:30. I am glad it wasn't an all day sickness, and that she is feeling so much better.

The boys wanted Mohawks on the last day of school. I was really trying to get out of my promise to them that I would do that, but they would not let me out. So I shaved their heads. They actually looked kind of cute. I told them they could keep them until Saturday, and then they were getting buzzed again. No way I was going to let them go to church with them.
Before

After

Kaleb and I had our date night on Friday. He wanted to eat at the Jumbo Buffet, and go play video games and see who was better. Hmm, it isn't me. I think he just needed an ego boost and knew I was an easy target. Well we get to the buffet place and tell him to eat up. I so did not get my moneys worth with him. I think he has the smallest stomach ever. He had 2 plates, and one was half jello. They made money off of us that night. We drove to the gaming place, but all the stations were being used, so we ended up just renting a game and a movie to bring home. The game was wipeout, and I lost terribly. Kaleb loved it. Good times.
Normally I don't allow my kids to play on electronics, they might get an hour a week if they are lucky. The reason for this is that they fight terribly after I let them play. Saturday was no different. The boys were invited to go bowling, so I asked them to turn the game off and get ready. You would have thought I told them to clean the entire house! About 15 minutes before we are needed to leave, the boys are trying to kill each other, I am not sure why, I don't want to know, but that is unacceptable. So they got to stay home and do yard work in the rain. They also don't get to play on electronics for a week. I know, mean Mom.
Today there was no electronics, and no major fighting. They were playing so well together, I loved it until I tried to get a short nap in. Note to self, don't try to take naps it won't happen and then you will just be grouchy the rest of the day. Kaleb ended up getting bored and cleaned his room without being asked. That was a first, but I was so happy that he did that.
I can't think of any other blog worthy stories. Scott just really wanted to see pictures of the boys haircuts. So here you go Scotty.

So many things
So many things have happened this last week, and Scott is sad that I haven't posted anything on the blog. So here you go Scotty.
I don't know what is going on, but with Scott gone my house is falling apart. First the kids broke the screen door, then their shower upstairs, and then the front door handle. How the heck do you do that? I fixed the door handle after a few days of it not working. I had to by a new one and put it in. Yay me. The shower I tried fixing, but couldn't so I called a handy man, and it should be fixed tomorrow along with the screen door. Thank goodness for the handy man!

Last Friday Brody and I had our date night. He wanted to go get rice and beans from a local Mexican restaurant. As you head in, there are two sets of doors. I opened the first one, and told Brody that the gentleman should open doors for the ladies. He ran ahead of me and opened the next door. What a nice gentleman. As we were finishing up dinner, he made the comment that he was sure happy that he didn't have to put his dishes in the dishwasher. I told him how when I was younger, we had to do the dishes by hand. He then replied "so it is like when we go camping and have to wash dishes." Wow, I need to have my kids wash dishes by hand more often. They are so spoiled. After dinner I took Brody to Chuck E Cheese. I really have fun playing all the games with Brody and see who can get the most tickets. He won. I really need to get better at those games. When we got home he told me to stay in my seat for a few seconds, but I really had to use the bathroom (too much water at dinner) I didn't wait and started to get out, as I was getting out he was at the door holding it open for me. I sure love that kid. I hope that one day his wife will thank me for teaching him to be a gentleman.
Saturday was the first Saturday in a couple months that we didn't have any Soccer games, or anywhere to be. It was so nice! It was our exchange students last weekend with us, so I asked her what she would like to do. She loves chocolate (but really what girl doesn't) anyways I told her about a place that had a chocolate fondue fountain, so we took off for the 1 1/2 hour drive to the Golden Corral. I know it is crazy to drive that far for the Golden Corral, but all the kids and Anila loved it. They also have cotton candy. Lets just say they all had a sugar buzz going on for the drive home. Good times.
Sunday was good. We went to church, came home, I tried to take a nap but read a book instead and the kids made blanket forts. They were surprised when I came downstairs and I was in a good mood. Usually when I tell the kids I am going to take a nap on Sunday, I always get woke up and then I am so grouchy! I guess I will just read a book instead of trying to take naps. It was easier on all of us. That afternoon as the kids were outside playing, I hear Brody saying that he had a baby rabbit. It was so cute, I ran inside to get the camera, after the picture was taken, baby bunny stopped moving. Come to find out Maya (the dog) decided baby bunny would be good to eat. Brody had rescued it from her mouth. Baby bunny was suffering and I couldn't bear to kill it myself, so I called a friend up and he was able to put it out of its misery. Brody was heart broken. So no baby bunny for us, and now Brody and Maya aren't as good of friends as they once were.

Notice the jackets and sweaters? It is not summer here!
Monday was Graduation. Anila was so excited that she was able to participate in the ceremony. She still has one more year of school in Norway. Anyways, the ceremony was held outside. Lets just say I am grateful the sun was out and it wasn't raining, but it sure got cold sitting on metal bleachers for 3 hours! I now remember why I didn't go to my graduation ceremony. They are so boring! I was happy to be there for Anila though.

Tuesday Brody and Mia both had field trips. Brody's class went to the Seattle Science Center to see the King Tut exhibit. I was able to go with him, and it was so much fun. I wasn't able to see much of the exhibit, I had my hands full chasing 4 kids around, so I am going to take the kids and go see it with them.
Only 2 more days of school for these crazy kids. I am excited that I won't have to get up so early, but sad I won't have "my time" during the day. We have a busy summer planned, it should go by pretty fast, and hopefully we will all have a great summer. Now if we could get above 55 degrees and have it feel like summer.

What the heck?
So I don't know what is going on with me, I blame it on Scott being gone, but I can not bake a thing! So in a previous post, I shared my wheat bread failure. Well now I have failed at trying to bake banana bread, cupcakes, and almost burned down my house trying to fry some lumpia. I have never been this bad so consistently. Yes I will try something new and sometimes it isn't good, but this is terrible. Any suggestions would be great, because I am about to give up on cooking and baking! I better get at least some cupcakes right, I have 36 to make by tomorrow for a friend for her sons graduation party. I have already thrown away 2 dozen. How do you mess up on cupcakes? Sheesh. Wish me luck!
On another note, Kaleb came up to me a couple days ago and told me that he didn't have a good feeling about going to Scout camp this year. I have always been leery about scout camp. It goes back to when I had an uncle who was on a scout camp out and fell off a cliff and died, and also when my younger brother was out camping and almost died. So I was thinking well maybe he is scared that something like that would happen. I told him to pray about it some more, and when the time got closer we would discuss it. Last night he came up to me again and said the same thing, I just don't have a good feeling about going. I again asked why. Now let me back up a little bit, before Scott left he gave all the kids fathers blessings. In Kalebs blessing he talked about him having to fulfill the role of the man of the house, and to be aware of my needs along with his siblings. Back to the story, it finally came out that he felt he should stay home in case anything were to go wrong when he was away. He said with Scott gone, he felt like he needed to stay home and take care of us. I love that kid. He is willing to sacrifice his first year of scout camp to take care of us. He wasn't scared that something might happen to him while he was away, but wanted to be here in case something were to happen to us. Dang Kaleb made me cry! (ok it's not really hard to do these days, but still!) What an awesome son I have. I guess Scott and I are doing something right. I have to say that I think all my kids are amazing, and I am so happy that they are turning into such great little people and young adults. I can't believe in 3 weeks I will have two kids in mutual. Wow, how time flies.
Million meter challenge update. Scott is doing awesome, he is pulling 5-15 miles a day. I can barely move let alone get miles in. Dang Insanity dvds. I think he is ahead 30-35 miles. I don't think I will beat him in this challenge, but I will at least complete it before he gets home.

Insanity!
So for those of you who don't know, I have had bad insomnia since Scott has been gone. So One morning when I couldn't sleep the TV was turned on and the infomercial for Insanity was on. It came on Saturday. I did the fit test this morning. I puked in my mouth after 15 minutes. I hurt already after just the fit test. What was I thinking? Oh wait I wasn't, it was my lack of sleep that got the better of me. I just keep thinking in 60 days I will look just like the people in the videos right? Ok maybe if I don't eat cookies for lunch and go out to dinner... or maybe not.
The good thing about all of this Insanity, is watching my kids try to complete the fit test this evening. It was hilarious. I did not tell them to do it. They put the DVD in on their own. I tried to get pictures, but didn't get any good ones. I am sure in 60 days I will get a good one of them planking. I am so happy I have these awesome kids who keep me smiling.

Here is to our Insanity!!
Now I get to unclog another toilet and try and fix a broken shower. At least the kids didn't try to unclog this one and flood the bathroom again. Cal-gone take me away.
Oh, on another note. I had some friends over for dinner tonight. One of them wanted me to teach her how to make whole wheat bread. I haven't made whole wheat for a long time. I make a fantastic white bread, so I figured I couldn't go wrong. I have a recipe for 100% fool proof wheat bread, I wasn't worried at all. That is until it didn't rise. I still cooked it hoping that it would rise a little bit in the oven. I followed the recipe to the letter. I ended up with 4 bricks. They were nice enough to eat some with dinner, and did say if you put enough jam on it, that it was pretty good. I offered to let them each take a loaf home, but they politely declined, and said it would make excellent croutons. Then we all laughed. How embarrassing.
Another thing, what do you do on Sundays? This is what my boys do. What am I going to do with them! Why can't I have normal kids who take naps on Sunday afternoons, and then read their Scriptures the rest of the day? Sheesh.

Face Masks Anyone?
So last weekend when the boys were out on their "Father son Campout" us girls had a girls night out with some friends. While we were there, we did face masks. The girls loved them and have now deemed Saturday night face mask night. Well the boys saw this and wanted to join in. What kind of mother would I be if I said no and didn't get any blackmail pictures? I am such a great Mom! Insert evil laugh here!!

And look they are all smiling. I have decided they take after their father. What a bunch of Crazies!

Date Night
For those who don't know, Friday is my date night. When I was in Ward council in church they would always tease me when something would be planned for a Friday night. I would always tell them that I would not be able to make it, because I was going on a date with my husband. It became quite the running joke.
Well fast forward to now. I don't have a husband to take me on a date, so I decided to take one of the kids each week on a date with me. Last night was my first kid date night. Mia was my date. She decided that we were going to go out for dinner and where we would go. We had terriaki chicken and potstickers at a great Japanese place. Afterwards we went on base and played some shuffleboard. I got beat by a 7 year old it was quite depressing. Mia and I had a great time. I can't wait to see what my other date nights entail. I have a picture of Mia at the Terriaki place, but it is on my phone and I can't figure out how to upload it to blogger. Hopefully I will figure it out before long, because I have some other great pictures that I would like to post.

Million Meter Challenge
Scott came home one day shortly before he left and mentioned that a few of the guys at work were going to complete a Million Meters of either walking, running, biking, or elliptical before they get home in December. It comes out to about 632 miles. I told Scott that I would totally do that with him. I was ahead for the first week and then he went and did 11 miles one day. I am up to 18 miles and he has 22 miles. Time to get my legs in gear and pull ahead again. Wish me luck!
Soccer Champions!
Today was Soccer Fest, which means that it was a tournament for all the teams who did well during the soccer season. Brody's team was in it, and ended up playing 4 games today. Needless to say they creamed every team that they were up against. I have to say that the last game was my favorite. They were down by two, which was very hard on some of the boys, because on the other games, the teams they played only were able to score 1-2 goals and they were usually up 3-8 points. Anyways they had no points and were feeling down in the dumps. They have an amazing coach who kept telling them that they were doing fine, and that they were playing great soccer and to keep it up and that those efforts would pay off. He had a great positive attitude that finally rubbed off on the boys and they ending up coming back in the second half with a score of 5-2. It was awesome!!! Let me also say that is was a crappy day to be playing soccer. It finally got up to 56 degrees and stopped raining this afternoon.
Brody played with a great group of boys, and their team work was amazing. I was so happy that Brody was able to be on such a great team. It helped him improve a ton in his soccer skills this season, and I actually enjoyed watching soccer for the first time in my life. Way to go REBELS!!

Score!!

The U-10 Champions!! Way to go!
On a side note, this morning Brody was supposed to be on the fields by 8:15 and he was late because of me taking to long to get ready. Anyways here was our conversation on the way there:
Me: Brody, sorry you are going to be a few minutes late.
Brody: That's ok Mom, I would rather be late with a Mom that smells good than be on time with a stinky Mom.
Me: Haha, uncontrollable laughter here. Well that's good, I think?

How to become Superwoman!
So I thought it was funny that my sister-in-law thinks that I am secretly Super Woman, so this blog post is for those who are not and want to know how to become one.
First- You laugh a lot and always have a smile on your face.
Second- You always make time to listen to your kids no matter how tired you are and you are always patient.
Third- You always have a home made breakfast and dinner on the table for those hungry children.
Forth- You open your home to extra children, no matter how long they stay. (or an exchange student from Norway)
Fifth- You are always aware of your friends needs (and take them to get doughnuts on National doughnut Day) and you do your best to take care of those needs.
Sixth- Your house is always clean, and your wonderful children always help out whenever you ask.
Seventh- When your husband leaves for a 7 month deployment for his job, you put on a happy face, and never cry.
Eighth- You always make time for personal and family scripture study and prayer.
Ninth- You make time to exercise 6 days a week.(and beat your husband in the million meter challenge)
Now let me tell you how it really is at my house, since I am in no way Super Woman. Yesterday was a tough day for me. I got up, got the kids out the door for school, went and picked up a friend's car to get an oil change done. (he is also gone on a deployment) Things were going ok until after the oil change. I wanted to drive the friends car for awhile to charge the battery before I took it back to sit for another few weeks. As I drove down the island a little ways, I started to think back a couple weeks to when Scott was around and we took a motorcycle ride. I started to tear up a little bit and then I lost it. I was mad that his job took him away from me for so long. I was mad that he was not here to go to soccer practices, pack meetings, soccer games, to mow the lawn, to help me clean up a flooding bathroom, that he wasn't here at night to talk too, or to play with my hair, to scratch my back, to help the kids with their math homework that I have no idea how to do. I was mad that I only got to talk to him on the phone for just a few short minutes each day, and that I had so much more to tell him then my 15 minutes would allow. (What can I say I am needy.)
The water works started then, and I could not get them to stop...all day. I thought something was wrong with me. I could not for the life of me figure out why I could not stop the water flow coming from my eyes. I think I got dehydrated and I had a huge headache. It was so bad that when Scott was able to give me a call, I couldn't even talk because I was so choked up, tears and snot were covering my face. When I was finally able to tell him what was wrong, he laughed at me. Let me say that I love my husband with all my heart and when he laughed at me, I also laughed and blew snot all over myself.
After the oil change that morning, nothing else was accomplished in my home. I sat my sad self down on the couch and watched TV. I ate cookies for lunch. No housecleaning was done, no exercise was accomplished and I took the kids out to dinner.
I think we would all like to be Super Women but we are human. It is ok to be mad, to have a bad day, to snot all over yourself, to have cookies for lunch, to watch TV all day, to not get anything done in your house, to take your kids out to dinner because you don't feel like doing a dang thing. It is OK. We have a loving Father in Heaven who knows what we are going through, he loves us. He doesn't expect us to be super women, he just expects us to do the best that we can. We can't expect more from ourselves than our Father in Heaven would expect.
So now that we all know that I am not superwoman, the list of things above are all things that I try to work on each day. It is not easy, and they may not all get done everyday or even at all, but I just try my best and it is good enough for me.
I really needed to write this post, I feel so much better getting things off my chest. I still miss Scott like crazy, it feels like a piece of me is missing. (heaven forbid he die before me, I would be a wreck) and I am still mad, but I know that I will make it through this trial in my life and come out stronger in the end. I will just step down from my soapbox now.
