Still alive, but maybe not well

We are still alive and life has been extremely busy.

After getting back from deployment I had a three day weekend, then back to work. Jennifer was busy packing up and getting ready for our move. My parents came out for a week, which was nice. We hadn't seen them in two years. They were a huge help and we were able to finish the flooring in our new house and start moving. After they left we were able to finish the move and are now 100% in our new home. The keys to our rental were turned in early, our new house is coming together, and we even had people here for our Christmas eve dinner.

Let me just say I married superwoman, because she is simply amazing.

Hopefully this week I will find some time to post some pictures and update the blog a little more. Sorry everyone for the lack of Christmas cards. We do love you and miss you, but this family takes priority.

Tomorrow is supposed to be a sledding day, so stand by for pictures!

Coming home

This is what I left.

After a fuel stop in Sicily, first overnight stop was Rota, Spain.
And leaving the next morning.
Stopping for fuel in the Azores.

Second overnight was Patuxent River, Maryland. This is our departure the next morning.

Finally, I made it home.

The kids didn't know I was coming home, which is good. My date had been moved a number of times. We were able to go to their schools and surprise them. It has been a great weekend.

On my morning run with Maya this morning I was greeted by this beauty. I am so glad to be home.
