Today was the first day of rain here since the squadron showed up in May. It didn't rain much, but the sand here doesn't let it through very fast...weird. A little rain pools up and floods things out quickly.
Again, this sounds like home. By the time you are done, you'll be acclimated to China Lake and want to move here permanently. Just to see sand and tortoises and no clouds. In case I haven't sent it, this is what there is to do for fun in this area (probably the same where you are at).
